Play the Music, Not the Instrument
(Jan 21, 2008)
Well, here we are in a new year again.  It's crazy that we're still truckin' after 6 years, but it feels better than ever.  Our tour schedule is pretty packed, which is always a nice way to start the year off.  Needless to say, we are ready for the road in March.

We are currently living in Nashville and have met some of the most amazing musicians in this country.  Of course, everyone in Nashville is somehow tied to the industry, and it's humbling to say the least.  It's impossible to be arrogant in this town because the band in the dive bar on a Sunday has more talent than almost anyone we've ever seen.  There are definitely different standards in Nashville than in Indy, and it's encouraging and depressing at the same time.  We've decided it's all about how you play the music, not the instrument.  You will never be the best musician, but you can always be an honest, emotional artist.

Anyway, so we're still trying to figure out life, love, and making money, all of which seem to be impossible.  We're having a good time though, and in the big spectrum, that's all that really matters.  You'll get a full dose of our current struggles and good times in the new songs, all of which are very autobiographical.  We're trying to get "Australia" up on MySpace ASAP.

I want to give a shout out to Kristine Murray, who took the new photos we posted on MySpace from Nino's in November.  This girl is one of the best fans and photographers, and you should check out her work at http://www.flickr.com/photos/ksk_1984/

Bands: if you want great photos taken, drop her a line.

We want to hear what's going on with you, so send us a message or comment on MySpace, Facebook, or one of the other sites.  We'll respond as soon as we can.  There are literally about 1700 messages in our inbox, so it takes us a little while to weed through everything, especially with all the spam on here.

Hope to see you at the shows!  We are not finished booking, so don't get mad if you don't see your city yet... we're seriously working on playing in every state possible.

Much love!

Nashville
(11.21.07)
So we've been bouncin' between cities lately and it looks like we're planning on taking an extended stay in Nashville.  There were thoughts of going to Chicago in January, but I think we're going to postpone that move for a little while.  We're going to start cutting the new record after Thanksgiving and hopefully releasing the first single before the end of the year.

The live shows will be scarce during the winter months, but we will be doing a few shows here and there.  We're excited to get back up to Indianapolis with David McMillin on Dec 8th, and we're hoping to see some of y'all there.

We will do our best to keep you updated with what's happening... and hopefully we'll have a new tune or two for you before 2008 hits.

New Album and More Touring Set For Fall (08.03.07)
It's been about 8 months since the release of "Can't Stand Still" and we're itchin' to get a new record out.  The new tunes seem to be getting good reviews at the live shows and we want our internet fans to get a chance to hear them as well.  There's a lot going on the next few months, but if all goes well, we'll have this album out in December (no promises though).  It will feature about 12 songs.

We're gearing up for another mile-stretching tour for September and October, doing our best to hit as many states as we can.  We're attempting to make stops in MN, IL, IN, AR, TX, TN, GA, SC, NC, NY, PA, and several others.  If you have a favorite venue in your state, please let us know about it!  Tour dates will be posted as they are confirmed.  MySpace is usually updated first.

7,000 Miles Later (05.07.07)
Once again, sorry for the extended break of news updates.  As many of you know, we do most of our updates and blogging on MySpace, but we figured it was time for an official website update.  So here we go...

The Southland has treated us well.  We've seen a lot of new areas of the country, finally getting down to Texas, seeing a lot of great things along the way there and back.  We bought a van that we've put about 7,000 miles on over the last couple of months.  No major repairs done yet, but it's about time for a few now.

We're gearing up for a lot of gigs in the fall, making the east coast a priority this time around.  We'll be announcing dates soon, so check back for the updated tour schedule.

We have several new tunes completed and a few in the works.  New recordings might be a must soon... we're both itching to get these things down.

Updates - Tour / New Tunes (1.24.07)
It has been about a month since our last update.  We spent a lot of time with family and friends over the holidays, and now we're back, working harder than ever.

Currently we are working on setting up about a 30 day tour during February and March, mostly in the southern part of the country.  A lot of these dates are already confirmed and many are in the works.  We will announce tour dates as soon as they are confirmed.

We also have 3 new songs, debuting at least one of them in the next few weeks.  We're really excited to have some new material for ya'll.

For all the latest info, visit us on Myspace! - We up date MySpace first!

The Album Is Here! (11.30.06)
After about 6 months of fun but tedious work, we've finally finished our debut EP.  After postponing the release date multiple times, we finally made a goal of Nov 30th, and we are actually makin' this deadline.  Who said musicians were timely ? (especially a couple guys that named their band 20 MInutes To Park)

We couldn't be happier to have this album completed and in our hands.  It's amazing to finally hold a piece of work that you put so much emotion, time, and effort into.   We've been waiting for this moment for 4 years, and it's crazy that the moment is here.  It's weird to think that this is only the beginning after everything we've already done.  The music business has proven to be quite a challenge but it has been great and we can't wait to take everything to the next level.  Thanks to everyone that has been apart of it all, we appreciate it.

Website Updates (11.30.06)
The website has been re-vamped a bit. We took down a lot of stuff that we thought wasn't needed. If you're looking for photos, videos, streaming audio, blogs, road journals, street team, and more please visit our MySpace page. We are using MySpace for most of our media because it is much easier to update. If you want to see something added to the official site, contact us and let us know. The official site will be undergoing a lot of rennovations over the next month. Let us know if you run into any difficulties! .
